Muy Importante!
Hey, folks! I had some (blessed, much needed) time alone today, while hubby took the baby to the park, and I got to thinking…
There is much that I’m less than 100% satisfied with in Bibliophile. What I’ve decided I’m going to do is go on a personal hiatus. Bibliophile will not be on hiatus - you can still play games, submit forms, all that jazz… Just I, myself, will not be around for you for a week. I’m going to spend that time hunched over in front of my monitor, picking and tweaking and redoing everything that irritates me about the site. My tweaks and picks and redo’s will include, but are not limited to the following:
Level/Master Badges - I’m going to cull. I’m sorry. I hate that I have to do this, but since I was very non-specific in my requirements for badge donations of any kind, its a problem I have to deal with. If your donations get culled, please know that it isn’t because they weren’t appreciated - they are, very much. I respect the hard work that goes into the creation process, and would never just toss things away unthinkingly.
Some Card Sets - Ech, what a pain, huh? But a few of the card sets irk me. Off the top of my head, the Signatures decks, the Rowling decks, the Cummings deck… The Occasion & Layout decks… Some or all of these will be redone. If you’ve mastered these sets, this doesn’t really affect you. If not, and you have these cards on your trading posts, you will need to resave the new ones. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Members - I’m going through the list (as previously mentioned) and I am going to remove inactive members. I recently visited a members’ site and her Bibliophile link was under a “Hiatus/Leaving” heading. She never notified me of a hiatus, or sent a quit form. So I don’t know which she’s on, and it really doesn’t matter… I’m going to just crack down and get rid of the people who signed up and have since lost interest. In the end, this benefits you, since you won’t spend your time trying to contact these members for trades and waiting for a response you’ll never recieve.
Organization - Just general stuff here; I plan on rewriting most of the information/rules sections, and splitting up the games from the store and such like that. Nothing major; just aesthetics.
So, heads up! Change is afoot!
(I realize that some of you may think its a huge pain in the butt, and I hope that I won’t lose any of you over this reconstruction. I can assure you that its all to the betterment of the TCG!)
