Bibliophile TCG is a literary trading card game. The images in the card sets are from book covers, illustrations, authors, and the occasional movie-based-on-a-book. If you love books, and are addicted to TCGs, then I invite you to take a look around. If you like what you see, please consider joining!
TCG = Trading Card Game.
Similar to collecting baseball or pokemon cards or other types of cards, except all collecting and trading is done online. You choose which cards you'd like to collect, participate in the many onsite activities to earn more cards, and then trade cards with other members to get the ones you need to master a set.
You want to join? Fantastic! Make sure you've read the rules, and then go ahead and fill out the join form. Once you've been accepted, you will receive a starter pack of cards and currency to help you jump right into the game. You may begin playing games after you have posted your starter pack on your trading post.
When you join us, you will receive a starter pack of 8 cards, worth 11, and two coins worth 35 to help you jump right into trading with your fellow members. This starter pack will include:
In addition to your starter pack, there are many fun ways to earn more cards here at Bibliophile:
Level requirements are based on your total card worth - and remember, member cards count here!
When you've earned enough cards to move up to the next member level, fill out the level up form and you'll receive your reward:
Most card sets are made of regular cards, and are worth 1 point.
Special cards are worth 2 points - these cards are slightly harder to get, and have a multicolored border.
Rare cards are the hardest cards to earn. They are worth 3 points each, and are borderless puzzle pieces.
Puzzle Boxes are just that - puzzles. The sets consist of 9 pieces, worth 0. Puzzle pieces do not count towards your card total or worth - but if you complete a puzzle, you can turn it in for card and currency rewards. Puzzle box pieces are not tradable except for other puzzle box pieces.
Our currency here is copper, silver, bronze, and platinum coins. It can be won in games and contests, and spent in our store. Members are discouraged from buying and selling cards directly to each other. If there is a card you would like to purchase, please do so via the store.

When you've earned all of the cards in a card set (20 cards for regular sets, 10 cards for special sets, and various for rare sets), fill out the mastering form and you'll receive 2 random regular cards, 2 regular cards of choice and 1 gold coin. Once you've mastered a set, you may no longer trade the cards from that completed set. You may still display these cards, as well as a master badge for that set, and the cards still count toward your total worth.
Referrals are another great way to earn cards! If you refer a member to Bibliophile, and they name you as their referrer you will receive 1 random regular card and 1 gold coin.
I will update Game Sets A, B & C at different intervals; each set will be updated only once every 30 days. Games will be divided equally into these sets as I can come up with them; I will try to keep the number of games relatively equal in each set, so there will always be a decent amount of content for you to enjoy. Game updates will be announced on the main page when they happen.
I will answer forms as I receive them, and as I have time. Mastery forms may take slightly longer than other forms, since they have a bit more work involved in the answering. If you've submitted a form, but have not received an answer after two weeks, then please resubmit your form. If its an emergency, don't send a form - email me.
I will answer and reward donation submissions as I receive them - but I may wait to post them until I have other things to update the TCG with. Expect to wait no longer than 2 weeks to see your donations on the site. If you submit a donation, and do not see it onsite within 2 weeks of receiving you reward - email me and poke me with a cyber-stick.
