Authors Among Us

The idea of this game is to write me a story using 50 words or less. I'll provide the topic, the genre (mystery, children's, romance, fantasy, etc), and a few key words. You submit the story. The more keywords you can use (realistically - don't make up a sentence that doesn't fit your story just to use up keywords), the bigger your reward will be.

2nd Place: Felicidad - "This painting hath hung in the palace for an age. `Twas a wedding gift from the late baron, mine uncle, to his betrothed. Hast thou ne'er seen such a likeness? Verily, the artist hath such a gift, my cousin wouldst oft mistake this face for that of his true mother."

2nd Place: RainboKat - Remember, thou wearest a mask to make thy finest art, and thou must never let it slippest.  On the stage, thou is not thou, but another.  Wouldst thou disappointeth the audience, and alloweth them to see that thine's character is not true?

Please also take a special (worth 2) card of choice

3rd Place: Danae Cassandra - Thou wilt never believe how bonnie fortune has embraced my own self.  Digging gently in a mound of dirt here near Palermo I have rescued Venus from centuries' decay.  Thou wouldst swoon to behold her with marble tresses flowing like ocean waves.  To thy touch her stone wouldst feel sensuous.

3rd Place: Dragonpoet - "How thee wounds thy's spirit?" Phillip groaned loudly as thy brother stood beside him.
With a sigh, Arthur replied "Thou can't say that thee did not ask for this?"
Phillip turned to Arthur, and cried "Thee sides with father?"
"How thou not? Thee has gambled all thee has been given."

Please also take a regular (worth 1) card of choice

Honorable Mention: Everyone
